Autumn Lounge: Downtempo and Deep House for Long Evenings
Lounge stations picked for you
Why autumn asks for lounge
In October it gets dark early and evenings grow longer. Summer hits no longer fit, yet silence feels too empty. Lounge works best on nights like these: slow tempo, deep bass and lots of space in the sound. It doesn't demand attention, but it makes a room feel warmer.
All stations below were chosen by the genres listed on their pages in the Radio Finder catalogue.

Rain on the window: ambient and downtempo
For an evening with a book and a blanket you want music with barely any drums.
- SomaFM Groove Salad – one of the oldest internet stations in the genre: ambient and downtempo from San Francisco, no ads, no chatter.
- 1.FM Ambient Psychill – a Swiss stream of psychill and ambient, slower and more spacey than classic lounge.
- The Wave Relaxing Radio – a Berlin station for when you just need to breathe out.
Vienna downtempo
In the 1990s Vienna became one of the capitals of downtempo: Kruder & Dorfmeister and other local artists made the slow beat fashionable far beyond Austria.
- Lounge.FM 100% Austria – Austrian lounge and electronica, a good way to hear what the scene sounds like today.
Friends over: mellow deep house
When guests have arrived but nobody is dancing yet, deep house fits: rhythm without pressure.
- Deep House Lounge – warm deep house with jazz and soul touches.
- Sunshine Live Lounge – the lounge channel of Germany's well-known electronic station sunshine live.
- Hi On Line Lounge Radio – a Dutch station rotating lounge, chillout and a little jazz.

A small autumn ritual
Pick one station for the evening and don't switch. After half an hour the music stops feeling like a playlist and becomes part of the room, like the light of a lamp. Save the stations you like to Favourites, and by November you'll have your own autumn collection.
