About the radio station
CNR-1, branded The Voice of China (中国之声), is the flagship Mandarin news and talk channel of China National Radio within state-owned China Media Group. Its lineage begins with the Yan’an Xinhua station launched on 30 December 1940; today it broadcasts around the clock nationwide on AM, FM, shortwave and online with news bulletins, live current affairs, commentary and cultural programmes.
