Petőfi Rádió, (formerly known as MR2-Petőfi Rádió and Budapest II.) is a public-broadcasting radio station in Hungary, concentrating on music and related programming, largely aimed at a younger demographic. It is one of the seven national radio channels produced by MTVA, and was founded in 1932 with its first test broadcasts held in summer of that year, as Budapest II., before adopting its current name, an homage to poet Sándor Petőfi.
