Algeria Quran Radio is the Arabic-language Quranic channel of the public Algerian Radio service. It began on 12 July 1991 with six daily hours of recitation in the Hafs and Warsh traditions and later expanded to continuous broadcasting; today recited Quran is accompanied by Islamic education, religious discussion, biography and community programmes.
